Evelina Zdravkova-Velichkova is an assistant professor in the department of “Library Management”, Professional field: “Public Communications and Information Sciences” at SULSIT. Her dissertation topic is “Intellectual-legal aspects in the media industry”. The academic supervisor is assoc. prof. Dr. Teresa Stoyanova Trencheva. For more than 20 years she has been an active journalist in the Maritsa newspaper - the largest outside of the capital daily newspaper in Bulgaria. She has worked as a reporter in the spheres of Education, Culture, Bulgarian Army, Foreign Policy and Internal Affairs. She leads the department of “Culture”, develops thematic pages, maintains daily rubrics. As a chief editor of the website www.marica.bg, she restructures and optimizes the media, manages the Facebook page of www.marica.bg. Evelina Zdravkova is the first Chief editor of the Plovdiv Orthodox Television – the first Orthodox media in Bulgaria, conceptual author, organization and management of the 16-hour program of POTV. Under her leadership, a live broadcast of the first online Mass on the Internet is realized. Works as a specialist in PR, marketing, and advertisement for the National Puppet Theater Plovdiv, Head of Administration Office in Humanitarian High School “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” – Plovdiv. She is currently a senior specialist in Regional Education Management – Plovdiv, under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education. Since 1995 she’s a member of the Bulgarian Journalists Union, since 2015 - of the Syndicate towards the Bulgarian Actors Union, since 2016 - of the Bulgarian Teachers Syndicate and the Association of the European Journalists in Bulgaria. Member of the board of Tourist association “Edelweiss”, of the board of Charity Foundation “Culture, Art, Children”. “Plovdiv” Reward nominee.
As a PHD student in SULSIT, Evelina has eight publications in the field of intellectual property in media – as an author and co-author.
Evelina is a member of the University Youth Academy for Knowledge Management. Participates in the organization and holding of the annual seminar dedicated to the International Intellectual Property Day (April 26th) at SULSIT in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018; in 9th meeting of Intellectual property teachers of the European Intellectual Property Teachers Network – EIPTN – Sofia 2016.
Since 2017 she is a member of the “Intellectual Property Teachers Network in Bulgaria”.
