Assistant Professor Polly Mukanova is a lecturer at the Department of Library Studies, Head of Book and Society Section of the University Youth Knowledge Academy at ULSIT. She holds a PhD degree in Library Science, Book Studies, Bibliography (History of the Book). She teaches "History and Theory of Reading", "Traditional Library Resources", "Digitization of Marginal Notes", etc. In 2010 she specialized in Book History and Reading at KU Leuven (Belgium) under the supervision of Prof. Chris Coppens. She has participated in national and international projects. Member of the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading and Publishing (USA) and the Bulgarian Library and Information Association. Her research interests are in the field of book studies and modern transformations in libraries. She is the author of three non-fiction prose books.
